Measuring Your Space

Opening Width

Post to post at the narrowest point, not curb to curb. This sets the gate size and whether one leaf or two makes sense. Round up if between our sizes.

Slope and Level

Check the rise across the opening and along the swing path. Sliding gates need a level run; swing gates need clear ground through the full arc.

Range of Motion

Swing gates need arc space inside the property. Sliding gates need a side run roughly as long as the opening, plus the motor.

Can I automate a gate I already own?
In most cases, yes — as long as the existing gate is within our opener's weight and length ratings. Send us a photo and dimensions via the free quote form above and we'll confirm which bundle fits.
How does an automated gate opener work?
The opener uses a motor-driven arm (swing) or rack-and-pinion drive (sliding) to move the gate. It's controlled by remotes, keypads, phone apps, or hardwired buttons. Safety sensors detect obstructions and reverse direction automatically.
What kind of power source do I need?
Every ALEKO opener runs off 12V DC. You can wire it to a 120V AC outlet with the included adapter, run it fully off solar, or run a rechargeable back-up battery.
How much maintenance does an opener need?
Very little. Check the gate hinges once a season, keep the sensor lenses clean, and every couple of years replace the back-up battery.
